Meet the 2021/22 Board!
BUILDING KNOWLEDGE, IMPROVING PROJECT DELIVERY
The mission of the Northern Illinois Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) is to advance the design and construction community’s knowledge of construction technology, building information management, and project delivery methods to improve facility performance while fostering relationships and promoting education.
Our chapter holds monthly gatherings (running from September through May) where accredited presentations on a variety of topics important to the construction industry are provided. Every meeting provides the chance for industry professionals to network and form long-lasting relationships. Our chapter is home to architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers and their representatives, specifiers, and more.
Tabletop display opportunities are available to host at every meeting, giving our members and guests the ability to showcase their company, product, or service to those in attendance.
The Northern Illinois Chapter also works closely with the CSI Chicago Chapter, North Central Region, and national Institute level to cross-promote events and inform members of the latest news and updates.
CSI Northern Illinois seeks to provide its members with tools to collaborate and effectively communicate the designer’s vision, the material producers’ solutions, and the constructors’ techniques to create outstanding facilities that meet facility owners’ objectives. Through education, certification, networking, and member tools, members are able to continuously build knowledge and improve project delivery.
CSI-NI connects members and facilitates peer-to-peer conversations offline and online to help members develop best practices, new opportunities and new relationships.
CSI-NI delivers members education on a variety of construction related topics to help keep them on top of the latest codes, products, construction processes and more.
CSI is renowned in the construction industry for its rigorous certification programs. Professionals can earn credentials, improve their knowledge of accurate and concise construction documents, and improve contract administration skills.
